I hope you all enjoyed your 4th of July, and are ready for a relaxing Saturday … with a picnic with friends, perhaps. Whatever you plans are for the day, I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend.
Last night I went to Freedom Hall in Johnson City. They put on a fantastic fireworks display every year. WXBQ Radio is one of the sponsors, so it’s an evening that gives everyone a chance to enjoy live music, performed by Trey Hensley, and April Taylor, and dance around with their favorite rabbit. The WXBQ radio personalities are all on hand, as well.
Miss Northeast Tennessee, Jessica Nixon, sang “God Bless America,” and our national anthem to open up the fireworks, that were later officially launched by Johnson City Mayor, Phil Roe. And, of course, our WXBQ rabbit didn’t miss an opportunity to pose with the pretty lady.
Here are a few photos of the WXBQ staff, as well as photos of the rabbit and some of his many fans.
As you can see from the photos, everyone enjoyed their 4th of July with the WXBQ Rabbit, and the Fireworks at Freedom Hall. I love the puppy getting a drink from the water bottle. But I can’t help wonder if he liked the loud fireworks that came along shortly after.
I’ll be getting back to my country news posts in a day or two, so please check back then. And, between now and the — have a great weekend!
