I know it’s not even winter yet – and I’ve already mentioned Country Concert ’09 in Ft. Laramie, Ohio. That one is in July — Now I have another one for you all. Get ready for BamaJam Music & Arts Festival, a 3-day event being held from June 4-6, 2009, in Enterprise, Alabama.
Like CC09, this event is held on a more than 400-acre spread, complete with camping facilities, and some of the biggest names in country music! There will be more than 30 acts performing this year, and those confirmed so far include Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift, Montgomery Gentry, Charlie Daniels, 38 Special, Jason Aldean, Heidi Newfield and Jamey Johnson.
Tickets are on sale now, and you can learn more at the BamaJam web site. These guys even have easy payment plans set up for festival tickets. And you can download payment books. They only require a $5 down payment for each ticket being purchased. Tickets are $139.50 per person for the 3-day event, and must be paid for in full by May 31, 2009. Ronnie Gilley , of Ronnie Gilley Entertainment, the folks responsible for bring us this great festival, said "We are all feeling the pain of the economic crunch; we feel it every time we buy groceries or pump gas. So we’re hoping to make it more affordable for those who want to come on out and join us. If someone buys a 3-day ticket today, it’s only $5 a week and it’s well worth the money!"
This is also a benefit concert. A portion of the proceeds from BamaJam will be donated to The Harlon Gilley Smal Man Foundation, Inc. and The Bo Harrell Foundation, public benefit corporations created by Ronnie to assist in enhancing and improving the lives of the people and community of Coffee County and the surrounding area.
If you’re the outdoor type, interested in camping either in a tent or RV, they have spaces for 1,500 RVs. The camping fees are $150 for RV camping, and $75 for tent camping. They do charge an additional $50 for the camper’s vehicles. For those of you not interested in camping, the day parking fee is $15.
I hope you guys will all check out the web site for BamaJam. It has a lot more information there than I could possibly put in this post. And if you can plan your vacation to fit this music festival in, I know you won’t be disappointed.
I’ll talk to you all tomorrow. Have a great Wednesday, drop me a line when you have a chance.I know some of you are heading out to concerts this weekend, so I hope you’ll have a picture or two to send my way – I know you’ll have fantastic time!
To my three Eli Young Band CD winners, you should be receiving those in the mail soon. Thanks again for entering – I’m hoping to get another contest up for you all real soon, so keep reading!
