Any of you who live near Hendersonville, Tenn., get off work early and head over to Wal-Mart! This evening, Monday, Dec. 15, from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Wal-Mart will be the host of the Christmas For Kids Tour Bus Show 2008. This is such a cool event!
Fans attending will have the opportunity to go inside their favorite artists’ tour buses, and get an autograph from artists attending the event. More than 30 artists are participating in the 2008 tour, including Buddy Jewell, Bo Bice, Darryl Worley, Chris Young, Jason Meadows, and Jeff Bates.
This picture is some of the buses at least year’s event.
Christmas for Kids has been celebrating Christmas with children of special needs for more than 20 years. All proceeds received at the Tour Bus Show, and the concert held back in November at the Ryman Auditorium, will be used for a day-long special shopping event for more than 400 children in middle Tennessee.
I love living in Tennessee, but there are times when it would be very nice to live a little closer to places like Hendersonville. And, today is obviously one of those days. So to all of you who can make it, have a super time, and get a few “I was in the bus” photos for me! I’ll be happy to put them up here for you.
This is the busy, busy week before Christmas. Our church choir has a Christmas party on Tuesday; our company party is Wednesday; I have to deliver Christmas gifts either tonight or Thursday – but somehow, it all seems to get done before Christmas actually arrives. And, I’ll be out of town from Dec. 26-Dec. 31. But we’ll talk before then.
I guess the good news for today is – My Christmas tree is now decorated! At least that’s good news for me, it’s one more thing out of the way. And it looks good, too! And yes, I am the owner of all those little stuffed animals sitting around the tree. Most of them sing Christmas songs! They’re so cute. Talk to you all soon.
