I wonder what’s going on with Trace. A while back I had received word that he was canceling all of his concerts for the rest of the year – except the New Year’s Eve shows. One was supposed to be in Nashville, and the other, with Lynrd Skynrd was to be held in Pikeville, Ky. But now, Trace has also canceled those shows.
The Pikeville show will still have Lynrd Skynrd, and instead of Trace, They’ve added 38 Special and Dirt Drifters. Tickets are still available for this show at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or by calling 606-433-1793.
It’s been a little while since we’ve had Trace in our neck of the woods. I got to see him two years in a row in Gray, Tenn., and then he had a show at Freedom Hall, and shortly after that was at the Tennessee Valley Fair in Knoxville… but all that has been a few years back now. I think it’s time he makes a return visit to Northeast Tennessee.
Trace has announced a few tour dates for 2009, but they don’t start until February. What I have so far is Feb. 12, Big Sandy Arena, Huntington, WV; Feb. 13, Canton Civic Center, Canton, Ohio; Feb. 14, Soverign Center, Reading, Pa.; Feb. 19, BOK Center, Tulsa, Okla.; Feb. 2, Midland Theater, Kansas City, MO; and Feb. 21, Kay Yeager Coliseum, Wichita Falls, Texas.
Here’s an older Trace video for you guys – but it’s one of my favorite Trace songs.
Later guys! Very busy day ahead.
