Last Spring, I had the opportunity to see Daniel Lee Martin at Freedom Hall in Johnson City. He was opening for Joe Diffie. The show was great! And I don’t just mean Joe. Daniel Lee did a great job. I think he’s probably the first performer I ever heard give an acoustic performance (of that length), and he did it as well as any I have ever seen since.
In addition to Daniel Lee’s country music talents, he’s also a real outdoorsman. He won the Field & Stream Celebrity Total Outdoorsman Challenge a while back, and you can catch him every week on "Backstage & Backroads" on The Sportsman Channel. .
If you plan to follow Daniel Lee around to his many, many events, this guy will keep you very busy. He will be part of the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association 2009 “Baseball for Kids” Weekend in Pot Charlotte and Clearwater, Fla., March 21-22.
This event will benefit the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, which helps to build character and teach critical life lessons to disadvantaged young people residing in America’s most distressed communities through baseball and softball themed programs.
The event will also benefit MLBPAA, which was formed in 1982 in order to promote the game of baseball, raise money for charity, inspire and educate youth through positive sport images and protect the dignity of the game through former players. This will be Daniel Lee’s fifth year attending this great event.
