Yesterday morning we got our list of nominees for the 43rd Country Music Association awards. The awards will be presented on Wednesday, Nov. 11, in what I am sure will be a fantastic show. ABC will air the program beginning at 8 p.m.
I’m really anxious to see who some of our winners are this year. It’s certainly an interesting list. I can’t help wonder just how they decide who get nominated. I love Joey and Rory, but have they really been around long enough, and done enough to be nominated for Duo of the Year – along with Big and Rich, Brooks and Dunn, Montgomery Gentry and Sugarland? We’ll just have to wait and see.
Congratulations to Taylor Swift on her nomination for Entertainer of the year. I know she’s young, but she’s done everything. And she is certainly a huge success in country music. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens with that one, too.
But there are a few I thought might have been there somewhere, and they aren’t. Am I the only one who misses names like Trace Adkins and Jason Aldean on this list? Just to mention two. Even so, I think it’s a great list, and I’m really looking forward to finding out who takes home the awards this year.
