It seems like almost any place you look, at any particular time of the year – you are going to find a country music concert that is out to beat all the others! And for those of you in the San Antonio, Texas area – we’ve got just such a show for you … in February!
The 2010 San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo will be held from Feb. 4-21, 2010. And this year, Toby Keith will be the headliner on Feb. 18. I have been a Toby Keith fan forever, and I know the organizers are really happy to have him this year. But I don’t think there’s one show that I would want to miss if I lived close enough to get there each night.
One of my very favorite newcomers to country music is also scheduled to be part of the show. And that is Randy Houser. I know he hasn’t been around that long, and his third single is now playing on country radio. But I really believe this guy has one of the best voices in country music today. He writes, he puts on a great show, and he’s without a doubt one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet.
On with the list. Lady Antebellum, Tim McGraw, John Rich, Cowboy Troy, Darius Rucker, James Otto, Rodney Adkins, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Trace Adkins, Alan Jackson and Jake Owen!
Now with names like that already on the entertainment schedule, you’d think that would be more than enough. But organizers of the event say that isn’t all! There are still working on securing more acts for this event.
That’s like 17 days of country music with some of the very best artists on stage. And don’t forget, in addition to all that, you’ve got bull riding, bareback riding, roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, and all that other cool stuff that goes on at a rodeo! The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo is a volunteer organization that helps promote agriculture and education awareness for youth in Texas.
You can get all the information you need about when your favorite artist will be there, and even information on the rodeo and the volunteer organization, by clicking here.
I’ll talk to you all soon. Tonight is the night I get all my e-mail answered … I hope. I’ll talk to you soon!
Have a good Tuesday1
