Carrie Underwood is scheduled to be a guest star on “How I Met Your Mother.” The episode will air in March 2010. On the show, Carrie will play a new character – “an enigmatic pharmaceutical sales rep and love interest for Ted,” who is played by Josh Rador. Does the fact that it says “new character … and love interest for Ted” possibly mean that she will be on the show more than one episode? If it does, no one has said that yet – but we can always hope.
Since Carrie is already an American Idol winner, multi-platinum singer/songwriter, multiple Grammy, ACM and CMA Award winner, and member of the Grand Ole Opry – maybe we’ll be able to add Emmy Award to that list next year. I wouldn’t be at all surprised. Carrie definitely puts everything she has into her work.
People Magazine talked to Carrie when she was on the Red Carpet at the People’s Choice Awards last week, and found out she has some very simple requests for her wedding. Carrie told People, “I want a groom, good food and an open bar.” People reported that she may not know who her gown designer is yet, or have a wedding date picked – but she definitely has some thoughts on how she wants to look on her special day.
"I’m Southern," she says. "I like big hair and eyeliner. I want my wedding day to be me, so I’ll probably be rocking some big hair and some eyeliner."
Carrie’s tour will start in March 11, 2010 at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pa. She heads up to Albany N.Y., for a March 12 show at Times Union Center, and March 13 will take her to Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, R.I. On the 15th of March, she will be at Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, Maine.
The folks in Connecticut will get Carrie on March 19, she heads to Atlantic City for a show at Boardwalk Hall. Carrie has 14 shows scheduled for March, and a total of 44 shows scheduled for this tour, which runs through May 30, 2010.
North Carolina and Georgia are as close as Carrie will get to Tennessee on this tour, but those lucky fans in Pennsylvania will have her for three shows, the opening show on March 11 in Reading, Pa.; a March 29 show in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and an April 1 show in Pittsburgh. Time to run. It’s Sunday – I have laundry to do, only because I didn’t want to mess with it yesterday. Truth be told, I don’t much feel like messing with it today either – but, I’m going to. I hope you guys enjoy your Sunday, Keep Warm! And if you get a minute, drop me a line. Love hearing from you!
