Like the rest of the people from the mid south to the southeast – I am also very concerned about the expected snowstorm, which could bring us as much as 12 inches of very wet, very heavy snow over the next 24 hours.
If that happens, we could very possibly be without power. I’m sure most of us know that this type of snow can cause trees to drop branches on electric lines, and some electric wires that can’t bear the weight of the snow. Here in the mountains of Northeast Tennessee, like a lot of places, power outages are almost a certainty in a bad storm.
I’m hoping I’m prepared, with flashlights, candles, and of course – the gas logs in the living room. But, if the power goes out, I won’t be talking to all of you until it comes back on. So let’s hope that the power stays on, and we can all just sit in our warm homes and enjoy looking at the pretty snowfall – with out lights and TV’s still on!
