I haven’t written anything about Mindy McCready’s alleged sex tape. However, if you google it, you will see that just about everyone else has. I don’t just mean bloggers and gossip columns. I mean people like CBS News, Fox News, and many other reputable web sites. If there is anything any of you would like to know about the alleged tape, I will just tell you it’s called “Baseball Mistress,” and you can find out anything else you want to know by heading over to Google. But you aren’t going to find it here.
I like Mindy McCready. I always have. I like her voice, I like her music, and I’m very happy to see the release of her new CD, “I’m Still Here.” Back on Feb. 19, 2010, I wrote an article about that new CD, you can read it here. My favorite Mindy songs include ‘Ten Thousand Angels,” (probably my very favorite), and “Guys Do It All the Time”. And I really like her newest “I’m Still Here”. You can visit Mindy’s MySpace page to listen to some of these great songs.
I know she’s had more than her share of problems, and maybe even made more than a few mistakes in her life – but haven’t we all? At least to some degree. She’s now getting herself together, and her new CD is great, and I still like her a lot!
The songs on the new CD are: Wrong Again, By Her Side, I Want A Man, I’m Still Here, I Want To Love You, Songs About You, The Way You Make Me Melt,The Dance, I Hate That I Love You Fades, By Her Side (Acoustic version) Bonus Tracks – Newly Updated Versions of: Guys Do It All The Time and Ten Thousand Angels.
Since I don’t plan on writing about the alleged sex tape, you might want to know why am I mentioning it now. The reason is because we have a press release from Mindy’s attorney – and I really think you should all read it.
Here’s the statement her attorney released to the press on Tuesday:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 30, 2010)–In response to the media and outpour of inquires surrounding an alleged "Mindy McCready Sex Tape," Attorney Adam Dread, counsel for Mindy McCready, has made the following statement: "We are not aware of the production or release of the alleged film that seems to have surfaced via various media reports. However, we can confirm that any illegally- obtained property, and/or fabricated footage, and the release thereof, will be dealt with swiftly following proper legal procedure."
Any of you who would like to see a video of Mindy, let me suggest you head on over to YouTube, and watch “Ten Thousand Angels.” Either that, or any of the other great music videos Mindy has there.
ADDITION TO ORIGINAL POST: I received another press release and wanted to add it to this post. I think it’s important to keep up with the releases that are coming from people like Mindy’s lawyers … instead of just from people who are trying to spread gossip and speculating about what might be happening. So here’s the latest from the lawyers.]
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 31, 2010)–Upon notification that Vivid Entertainment has not provided proof of distribution rights and/or ownership to release the so-called Mindy McCready "Baseball Mistress," Spike.com has pulled the corresponding teaser video.
Both Attorney Adam Dread, legal counsel for Mindy McCready, and McCready are hopeful other outlets will follow suit; according to Dread, Vivid has yet to provide proof of authorization or authenticity.
That’s it for now. Talk to you all real soon!
