The event is Cashbox Records Artist Showcase. This is a Free Mother’s Day Event. The Showcase will take place at the World Famous Nashville Palace, located across from Opryland Hotel, in the heart of Music Valley. The address is 2511 McGavock Pk., Nashville.
They’ve got two shows, the first from 12-3 p.m., and the second from 3-6 p.m. The program will include Big Band Hall of Fame Induction; announcement of Cashbox Magazine headquarters in Nashville; and musical entertainment by Cashbox Record Artists.
Jason Rogers is among the artists who will be performing throughout the afternoon. I hope you all remember Jason. I put an article up about him on Dec. 10, 2009, and you can read that article here. Other artists who will take the stage are Josh Logan, Don Graham, James Cain, Barry Stagg, Fraser Newcombe, Dave Caley, Tricia Lacompt, Appalachian Vibe with Terry Hammonds Tea Party Theme song, and more.
The program I received said this will be a televised event, although I don’t have any other information about where or when it will be televised. The program also said that food will be available to purchase at the event.
So if you still haven’t made your plays for Mother’s Day, and you can make it to this event, I’m sure you will enjoy a great day of country music. And if you get there, and I don’t … please tell Jason Rogers that Country sends her regards!
Time to get busy with my Saturday – I’ll talk to you all soon.
