Like most people, I never heard of Julianne Hough until I saw her on Dancing With the Stars. I’m not even sure which season that was – but she won, at least once, and I liked watching her dance. Actually, I liked watching them all dance.
At any rate, she went on from there to begin her career in country music, and I liked her first single. It wasn’t anything that will become one of my all-time favorite country songs, but I liked it. Her second one wasn’t bad – but it didn’t have “country music star” written all over it either.
Then of course there was her seemingly very serious relationship with Chuck Wicks, which came to a friendly end, if there really is such a thing. I love Chuck Wicks.
I’m not sure if she’s touring, her web site just says “New Website Coming Soon.” So I really couldn’t get any kind of touring schedule or upcoming shows. But I’m sure she’ll be opening for someone soon
Most of us have seen the video, though I haven’t heard ithe song on country radio yet. The video to the song, “Is That So Wrong,” has definitely changed her image since that “song in my head” thing she first released.
Let me know what you think. Is she really talented? Would she do better as an actress than a country singer? Or should she just go back to the dancing show. We all know she can dance – but I’m really not sure what’s going on in this video.
You’ve got my thoughts on the video, I’d love to hear what you think. It’s playing on CMT – if you watch as much as I do, you’re sure to see it.
That’s it for now – time to head to work … talk to you guys real soon!
Country

I like the song and yes, I think she is a talented country artist. I like all but 1 or 2 songs on her first album and could play them over and over. All that said, I don’t like this video. I think the director should have taken it in a little less racy direction and highlighted her singing instead of the fact that she can move and twist her body.
Not impressed. Saw her live when she opened for Sugarland and she was too worried about putting on the Hoochy moves and not on vocals. Cringe-worthy for much of the audience.
She is a product of ABC and their promoters. Even though she didn’t do anything new all last year, she performed one night at CMA Fest, while stars like Chris Young, Luke Bryan and Jake Owen didn’t get that chance because of her connections. CMT has sold out and is including non-country performers’ videos, like Nickleback, on their shows. It is a shame!! Country singers can have some crossover songs, but I resent performers that are not viable anywhere else bringing their videos to the country stations. I only watch GAC now. I’m sorry about the rant, but this is a really sore spot for me. I also dislike the sleazy aspect of videos these days. It may not seem all that bad for people who watch a lot of TV or go to movies, since most of that is worse. As for me, I am listening to radio more and more to avoid tasteless videos.
