All country music fans are at least familiar with the music of Love and Theft – we all know “Runaway,” and some of us absolutely love “Dancing in Circles.” I don’t know why that song stays in my head. I don’t know why I find myself singing it so much, but that really doesn’t matter. I just think it’s a great song.
Love and Theft took the stage at FunFest in Kingsport, Tenn., on Thursday night, July 22, as part of the opening line-up before the Jason Michael Carroll show. They work hard on stage, an d put on a great s how for the people who were out there in the 95 degree heat to watch them perform.
And I found out after the show that they are also very nice kids. They stayed to sign autographs, pose for pictures with fans, and talk to their fans – never seeming to be in a hurry to rush through the long line of anxious fans who waiting their turn in line. I hope I have a chance to see them again – I’ve checked over their upcoming show list on their MySpace page, and it looks like it is going to be quite a while until we get them back in our area. But check out the schedule – you might have them near you sometime soon – and you aren’t going to want to let the opportunity to see this great group pass you by.
Those of you who have been reading Country’s Chatter for a while now know that this band has made more than one appearance on this website. Back in March they performed at the opening of the new NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, article here. And back in January you had a chance to win a concert by these guys if Kraft Foods picked your town as the Best Single Town in America. Here’s that article if you missed it. And back in April, we had a picture from Eric and Emily’s wedding. Be sure to check through the archives for other stories about this great group.
Thanks so much, Stephen, Brian and Eric, from all of your Northeast Tennessee fans. We appreciate you coming to Kingsport, tenn., to be part of this year’s FunFest concert! Now, here are some pictures from Thursday night.
That’s all for now – Again, thank you Love and Theft, Kingsport Chamber of Commerce, FhnFest organizers, and WXBQ for this great concert!
Talk to you guys later,
