Paul Worley may not be a name many people outside the recording industry know, but people like Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride, Big and Rich, Sarah Evans and The Dixie Chicks all now who he is. They are some of the most successful acts in country music, and they were all discovered and developed by Paul Worley. You can now add Stealing Angels to that list.
Paul is a Grammy-winning record producer, and he has just launched his own label, Skyville Records. Any of you who have been reading Country’s Chatter for a while remember when I first introduced the group to you – if you missed it, you can read that article called “Beautiful and Talented – Meet Stealing Angels,” by clicking here. The most recent article, which was titled “Spend some rehearsal time with Stealing Angels,” includes four videos for you to enjoy. So be sure to look back at that article.
The first single for the girls will his radio on July 12, and is called “He’d Better Be Dead.” Ifi you aren’t familiar with this group, you need to go to their MySpace page and listen to some of their music. “If I Was So Bad,” “Ladder,” “Lightning In A Bottle,” and “Girls Gotcha Back” are all on MySpace – you’ll want to listen to each of them. They’re good songs, and a great introduction to who these girls are and what they can do.
They also have a schedule of upcoming shows on their MySpace page. I keep looking for them to get close to me, but they aren’t showing that on the schedule yet. I’ll definitely keep my eye on where they are going to be though.
Tayla Lynn, Jennifer Wayne and Caroline Cutbirth make up the trio. I’m looking forward to their July 12 single on radio – and hope you will all call your favorite country station and request the song.
Here’s a video of the girls performing “Ladder.” I’m not sure where it was shot, but seems to be some kind of little outdoor event – you can find more of their videos both on their web site and on YouTube.
I will talk to you all soon – it’s back to work today! Have a good Tuesday. I hope to answer mail tonight, so I should get everyone answered then.
