People here in Northeast Tennessee know that it’s just a hop, skip and a jump over to Cherokee, N.C. And, they have some great shows at the casino there. If you had plans to make that hop, skip and jump on Dec. 11, to see Gary Allen, you’re going to have to change your plans.
People who were holding tickets for the Dec. 11 show have already received a full refund. In fact, there are two shows going on in December that Gary has had to cancel. The other one is in Las Vegas, and that was scheduled for Dec. 31. I can’t think of a better New Years Eve Party than a Gary Allen show. But, that’s not going to happen this year.
While all of Gary’s shows for October and November are expected to go on without any change to the schedule, the two December shows were canceled because the singer is going to have some minor vocal cord surgery done.
I’m still not sure how anyone can use the words “minor” and “surgery” in the same sentence. Especially when they are talking about a signer and they include the words “vocal cord” in front of the word “surgery. I wish Gary a very speedy recovery.
Reports tell us the surgery will be in late November, and he is scheduled to resume his show schedule in February. His management team sent an e-mail to ticket holders for the Dec. 31 show. He wanted to make sure they knew, before they purchased airline tickets and booked rooms in Vegas. Tat was really nice.
Here’s the e-mail Gary’s manager sent out.
Dear Gary Allan Fans,
It was determined that Gary will need to undergo a minor surgical procedure in late November to remove a polyp from a vocal cord. A complete recovery is anticipated and we expect to resume our full schedule in mid-February. Unfortunately, this means we have to reschedule the Cherokee, NC show originally scheduled for December 11th and cancel the Las Vegas show originally scheduled for December 31st. We wanted you, the fans, to know this information now, so you could change any travel plans you may have been making for these dates. Ticket refunds for these two shows will be issued at the point of purchase.
Thanks for your support,
Talk to you guys soon. Have a great Monday!
