It looks like October is going to start, and end, with new albums from two of my all-time favorite artists. The beginning … Toby Keith, with Bullets in the Gun.” I’ve always been a fan of Toby. But unlike some artists, I’m not one w ho has loved everything Toby ever did. Nevertheless, he’s one of my favorite artists, and I am looking forward to hearing his new CD on Aug. 5.
The songs on this new one from Toby include, Bullets in the Gun, Somewhere Else, Trailerhood (his current single), In A Couple of Days, Think About You All of the Time, Kissin’ in the Rain, Drive It on Home, Ain’t Breakin’ Nothin’, and Is That All You Got. The Delux Edition will also include 11 Months and 29 Days, “I’ve Been A Long Time Loving (But I’ll Be A Long Time Gone), Chug-A-Lug, and Sundown.
Toby may be the only one releasing on Oct. 5, but get a look at this list on Oct. 12. We’ve got ‘Charleston, SC 1966,’ Darius Rucker; ‘The Secret Sisters,’ the Secret Sisters; ‘The Band Perry,’ The Band Perry;
The Definitive Greatest Hits: Til the Last Shot’s Fired,’ Trace Adkins; ‘Playlist: The Very Best of Kenny Chesney,’ Kenny Chesney; ‘The Essential Ronnie Milsap 3.0,’ Ronnie Milsap; ‘Playlist: The Very Best Gospel of Dolly Parton,’ Dolly Parton; ‘Playlist: The Very Best Gospel of Johnny Cash,’ Johnny Cash; ‘Whitey Morgan and the 78’s,’ Whitey Morgan and the 78’s and Merry Christmas,’ Shelby Lynne.
On Oct. 19, you’ll get Sugarland’s “The Incredible Machine.”
Taylor Swift hits the stores on Oct. 25 with “Speak Now.” That’s a Monday, isn’t it? I’m just used to these things coming out on Tuesday. But, it’s ok. Finishing out October, on Tuesday, Oct. 26, Joe Diffie will release a new album called, “The Bluegrass Album.”
Looking forward to all the releases coming out in October … and of course, the Christmas CDs won’t be far behind.
Keep reading – we just might have one or two of these new CDs to give away real soon!
Have a great Sunday, I’ll talk to you all soon!
