The third single from Toby Keith’s “Bullets in the Gun” CD was released to country radio on Feb. 15, 2011. If you have the CD, you know there are a lot of great songs there. However, the first two he released, “Trailerhood” and “Bullets in the Gun” will never be my favorite Toby Keith Songs. The third one, “Somewhere Else,” has a better chance of making my list of ‘stuff Toby Keith sang that I love’ (or at least like a lot). It’s definitely Toby.
I’m a long-time Toby fan. Very long time in fact. And I remember so many of the songs from his first albums. I think the “Blue Moon” album is probably my favorite. I have a favorite song from that album, too – It’s called “Me, Too.” But enough about that – we’re talking about Toby’s new release here. I listen to the radio a lot, and I haven’t heard this one on our local country station yet, but I’m sure I will.
“Somewhere Else” is available at iTunes, and of course the CD is available at Amazon, and wherever great country music is sold!
In several interviews Toby has done, both prior to the album’s release, and now that this song is out on radio – have said that Toby calls this song “his favorite one on the album.” I think it’s my favorite, too. Here’s the first chorus – if you haven’t heard the song yet – this might stir a little interest. It really is a good song. Check it out.
And I don’t know where you might be
Where ever it is it’ll be without me
Keep thinkin’ I’ll come home one day and find you
Long as I got that neon light
Shinin’ like a beacon in the night
I know I can make it downtown by myself
Cuz if you don’t know where you’re goin’
You might end up somewhere else
I’ve got the CD – if you don’t – head on over to iTunes and get this great net single. Or get the CD. “Bullets in the Gun” is good Toby!
More later – Have a great day!
