LoCash Cowboys, the Stroudavarious Records’ country music duo comprised of Chris Lucas and Preston Brust, visited Nashville’s W.O. Smith Music School on Tuesday, April 26 to connect with students, their parents, and faculty at the after-school music program for children from low-income families (www.wosmith.org).
Chris and Preston spoke about their earliest musical memories, their progression as musicians and artists, what it’s like to be in touring band, and answered questions about music and the industry. They then performed a 45-minute acoustic set which included their current Top 40 radio single, “Keep In Mind,” as well as some sing-alongs with the students.
In the midst of a 32-city Spring Tour, LoCash Cowboys make their Grand Ole Opry debut on Saturday, May 7. For additional information, please visit www.locashcowboys.com.
Before I get on with the photos that accompanied the press release, I need to tell all of you in my area that you have a chance to see these guys in Kingsport, Tenn., on Thursday night, May 12. They are kicking off the Twilight Series of concerts for this year, with a free show on Broad Street in downtown Kingsport!
I will definitely be in that audience! So everyone near Kingsport, plan on grabbing your lawn chair and your camera and heading to Kingsport on Thursday, May 12. The show starts at 7 p.m. I am so excited about getting to see these guys. For months I’ve been saying “Keep In Mind” is just about the best song on the radio today. And I really mean it. That is one of a very few songs that I can listen to over and over and over, and never get tired of hearing it.
Now, here are the photos form W.O. Smith Music School in Nashville.
