A while back I told you about the concert being held in Erwin, Tenn., next Friday, May 6. And now I have even more great news about the show. What started out as a fund raiser for our local Chamber of Commerce now has two purposes – in addition to the Chamber benefiting from the show, so will our local Unicoi County Relay For Life!
I am very excited to be selling tickets for this show, knowing that a portion of the proceeds will be going directly to our local Relay team, and in turn, to the American Cancer Society.
Ty Herndon will be headlining, and Ricochet is opening for him. This is definitely going to be an awesome show, and I’m sure everyone within driving distance is going to want to be a part of it. I can’t think of Ty without thinking of songs like “What Mattered Most,” “Living in a Moment,” and “Looking for the Good Life.” When I say Ricochet, I know the first thing you all thought of was “Daddy’s Money.” But these guys have done a lot more than that! One of my favorite Ricochet songs is “The Truth is I Lied,” from their self-titled debut album.
The show is being held at Unicoi County High School in Erwin, Tenn. To start with, this auditorium is new, modern, comfortable, has a huge stage, and seats 1,100 people. There is no such thing as a ‘bad seat’. It’s going to be a great show, and I really hope everyone in northeast Tennessee, southwest Virginia and western North Carolina will come over and join us for what I know is going to be a fantastic evening!
I have tickets. You can buy them at The Erwin Record, 218 Gay Street, Erwin, TN. They are $18.00 each. A portion of proceeds from tickets we sell will go to The Erwin Record’s Relay For Life Team, benefitting Unicoi County’s Relay For Life.
If you need more information, send me an e-mail and I’ll get back to you right away, or call The Erwin Record, at 423-743-4112. We are not set up to take take debit or credit cards, so please bring $18.00 cash for each ticket you would like. The show is being sponsored by our local IGA Supermarket, and tickets are also available at all area IGA stores. (But remember, if you want a portion to go to Relay For Life, please purchase your tickets at The Erwin Record office).
It’s not often you get to see a show like this, for just $18.00 – so plan on getting your tickets now, and joining us at Unicoi County High School on Friday night, May 6, at 7 p.m.
