I just found out Jason Jones was in my neck of the woods recently – unfortunately, he had come and gone before I ever found out he was going to be here. He’s doing a cross-country run, visiting radio stations to promote his new single, “Ferris Wheel.” One of the best places to visit when you have a new song out is WXBQ in Bristol, Va. It’s like the best radio station ever.
I’ve had a few articles on Country’s Chatter about Jason. One of them was little more than a year ago, when Jason was part of the City of Hope benefit show at The Rutledge in Nashville. If you missed that, you can check it out here. I remember watching Jason sing at The Rutledge. He was so comfortable on stage. He’d talk and laugh and play and sing – and everyone really enjoyed having him there. He hung around after his performance, and talked to all the other performers, and to those of us who were just in the audience, there to enjoy the music.
You all know how I feel about entertainers who take a few minutes to talk to their fans. I think it’s important. Not just at the beginning of their career, but even after they are on the top of the charts and headlining their own tours. Jason was like that, and I hope he continues to be that down-to-earth and friendly with the people who support him.
I hope you will all visit Jason’s newly designed web site. He has a bio, pictures, shows listed through August, and you can listen to his new single, “Ferris Wheel”. Check out this list of shows – he’s going to be all over the country, so hopefully you’ll see something here that put shim close to where you are.
I’m glad I got to see Jason Jones perform, and I hope I have the opportunity again sometime soon. He puts on a great show, and everyone in the audience certainly had a fantastic time!
That’s going to do it for me this morning. I hope you all have a wonderful Friday. I’m off to see Ty Herndon and Ricochet tonight. So that should be a great evening for me.
Talk to you all soon!
