Everyone ready for some movies under the stars? Johnson City’s (Tennessee) Parks and Rec Department will again be hosting Lake Cinema at Winged Deer Park. Anyone who has attended this event in the past is already familiar with the 36-foot, inflatable, outdoor movie screen. But these Thursday nights in June offer much more.
There are games for the kids, food vendors with a variety of food items to purchase. And of course, you are welcome to bring your own picnic dinner or snack, your lawn chairs and blankets, and enjoy this free evening of family entertainment.
We’re lucky this year, because there are five Thursday nights in June! So mark your calendar for June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 – and plan to head out to Winged Deer Park for a great night of family fun.
Once again, WXBQ Radio and that WXBQ rabbit will be on hand, hosting the event for the Parks and Rec Department, and helping with the games for the kids.
I don’t know what movies are playing yet, but keep your eye on www.wxbq.com and keep checking back here – when we find out, we’ll let you know!
More later,
