Back in April, local Greeneville residents Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry, country music group, The Band Perry, helped donate 10,000 lbs. of Purina Dog Chow to the Greeneville-Greene County Humane Society.
The substantial donation is part of the Purina Dog Chow ‘Dare Us Back’ promotion, which The Band Perry helped launch with the brand in January.
Dog Chow dared consumers to try their better-tasting-than-ever dog food risk-free, and in return asked consumers to Double Dog Dare the brand back.
The Band Perry, who as a family have four beloved dogs of their own, submitted their own special dare, asking Dog Chow to donate food to their local humane society. The donation will take place at the Greeneville-Greene Humane Society,
After Reid, Kimberly and Neil washed dogs all morning, they presented a check for $10,000 to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, on behalf of Purina and its ‘Dare Us Back’ contest winner, Don Genton
The Band Perry is heading out on tour with Tim McGraw, and you can check that schedule out on their web site. I couldn’t be happier for these guys. They’ve worked hard, and really deserve their ACM Award, and this gig with Tim. But I hope they get back to Greeneville every now and then. We like having them at home, too. Kimberly, Reid and Neil are great entertainers, and great kids.
That’s it for now. I have to head to the office. I hope you all have a good Wednesday. If I owe you an e-mail, look for it later tonight, because I plan on answering mail this evening.
