Charles Kelley was first – well, the first from Lady Antebellum to get married. He and his girlfriend of two years, Cassie McConnell, were married were married in the Spring of 2009, in Nashville. Now, Lady A member Hillary Scott has announced her engagement to People magazine.
Hillary and her fiance, Chris Tyrell, met while on tour with Tim McGraw – Chris is a drummer. According to the report in People, the couple got engaged over the July 4 holiday weekend. The proposal took place on the dock at a lake in East Tennessee.
"Chris proposed exactly the way I’ve always dreamed," Scott shares. "Our families were close by, but it was just us out on a beautiful deck overlooking a lake in East Tennessee. We had just been on a hike and – in our workout clothes – he hit the knee! We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together!” [Source]
They haven’t set a date for the wedding yet, and continue headlining their own your. Chris is the drummer for Eden’s Edge, who is touring with Brad Paisley.
I’ve been fortunate to have seen these guys in concert twice, and here are a few of my favorite Lady A concert photos:
Wonder if Dave Haywood will follow the lead of his band mates any time soon.
That’s all for me for this morning. I hope you all have a great Wednesday. I will talk to you all soon!
