I’ll be the first to admit I am a huge country music fan. I have my favorite artists, and I’ve missed more than one encore because I was heading over to the merchandise tent to be first in line when they come out for pictures or autographs. However, I think it is very unlikely that I would ever jump off the second story of a parking garage just to try to get close to one of my favorite country music singers.
Last Friday, one of Reba’s fans did just that. Following her show in Bloomington, Ind., as Reba was headed back to her bus, John Griffin jumped from the second story of a parking garage, hoping to get a better look at Reba.
The fan told Bloomington’s police Sgt. Henry Craft that he wasn’t trying to hurt himself, he was just trying to see Reba as she was getting on her bus. None of the news reports I’ve read so far had any comments from Reba. But I can’t help wonder what she must have been thinking.
Thanks to my friend Jeanne, in Delaware, for these concert pictures of Reba.
That’s it for now. More later!
