This list may surprise some of you. It is not the what most of you think of when someone says, “Here are the country songs I think were the very best last year.” However, this list is definitely the list of songs I think were the best of country in 2011.

Very good list. I enjoyed Neon Grave, which I had not heard before. I totally agree with Locash Cowboys, Keep In Mind, being at the top of the list. An awesome song that did not get its due ! Happy New Year.
Sharon – Glad you enjoyed Nick’s song. I’ve seen him in concert several times. He’s fantastic on stage! I think “Neon Grave” is a great song. And, I agree with you – “Keep in Mind” is definitely a better song than the charts might have indicated.
Thanks for your comment, and H appy New Year to you, too!

I agree totally. LoCash deserves #1
Glad to see Locashcowboys at the top of your list. These guys have been rockin it for years. High energy, great songs(most that they write themselves) and all around great guys.
They had the most amazing fiddle player, Ryan “Troop” Jones, who passed away in 2011.
I hope everyone looks them up and gets hooked on them too.
So very glad to see you award the #1 spot to LoCash Cowboys. These guys are two of the best people you will ever meet. I truly believe that 2012 will be an amazing year for these guys, and I plan to be there, supporting, cheering and promoting them every step of the way! 🙂
Thanks again!
2012 is the Year of Locash Cowboys….I’m so happy they topped your list….They are Awesome!!!! Thank You!! 😉
Nice list and some great songs and when I heard that song Keep in Mind I never heard of the locash cowboys but have become a fan. This song was beautiful and amazing and I will never understand how a song like that never made it to the top 20’s .. some one told me it’s because the radio stations are paid to play and the artists who are trying to make it don’t get a fair shake .. well these guys certainly haven’t .. I keep waiting for more .. hopefully 2012 is a year for these guys to get to the top where they belong. Thanks for the list!!!
Sooo HAPPY to see LoCash Cowboys #1 on your list. They are an awesome, energetic and down to earth group. I can’t wait for them to make it big! I hope that 2012 is their year!!!
great to see CRAWFORD & JAMES on this list!
