I’m really excited to tell you all about Crawford & James. I’ve been listening to their music for a while, and meant to get something posted about them before now – but like most of us, I got caught up in the holiday preparations, holiday travel, tying up loose ends at the office, and being out of town for a few days. Well, you get the picture. Now that I’m back, I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce you to Aaron Crawford and Josh James.
These guys, like Jon Mark Luckett and Aaron Owens, who I’ve told you all about recently, do not have the ‘country’ sound you are hearing on today’s Top 40 country radio stations, but you should be hearing it there! They do not have the ‘country’ sound that usually ends up getting as much air play on ‘easy listening’, ‘soft rock’, or ‘pop/rock’ stations as it gets on country stations. They have the ‘country’ sound that belongs exclusively on country radio, for country music fans.
On their web site, you can hear “Country Crazy,” one of my favorites! “Endless Summer,” which will make you wonder why this one hasn’t made it to your favorite radio station yet; “Freedom Like This,” great country, with awesome lyrics; And if you like keeping it country and picking up the pace, give “Ripples on the Moon” a listen.
I’ve said so many times, that I don’t know what makes Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney or Keith Urban the ‘stars’ they are. There is so much talent out there, and these two are as good as I’ve heard. Probably part of it is if you are Kenny, Brad, Carrie or Taylor, the minute you release a single, stations pick it up. They play it from day one until it hits number one. With our up-and-coming artists, they don’t do that – they wait till ‘other stations’ start playing it. They follow it up the charts, and when they think the time is right, they add it to their play list. Take my advice, Mr. Radio Executive, you don’t need to wait any longer to add Crawford & James to your play list. It’s time.
I read the bio on their web site, and immediately knew that I couldn’t say it any better than their opening paragraph. So here it is for you, from the Crawford & James web site: “From the first note, there’s no denying that Crawford & James is all business, and their business is country music. Cut from the tall timber of Americas Great Northwest these country boys are unapologetic of their Northern blue collar roots. Formed in 2010 with seasoned front man Aaron Crawford, and veteran country musician/songwriter Josh James, the duo has already shared the stage with some of Country Music’s biggest stars, and fast become the country duo that everyone is talking about.”
The duo is better known on the West Coast, but I’m hoping that we’ll soon be hearing a lot more from (and about) Crawford & James here in the southeast as well. The photos in this post are from their facebook. Hope you will visit their web site and facebook, and learn more about Aaron and Josh. You can also follow them on Twitter @CrawfordnJames. Now that you’ve done all the reading – here’s a little video introduction of the duo.
That’s it for now. Back later!
Country

I have been around the music industry for several years and dealing with many bands and individual musicians. without a Question, the Crawford and James band will be (In my opinion) the next Brooks and Dunn. that is a tall order but I have watched on a weekly base the growth of Crawford and James as a Band and also as individuals. Crawford and James along with there original sounds and music will hit Nashville like a storm. I believe everyone should take note of there talent and enjoy it
