Country music legend Clint Black is scheduled to appear on ABC’s Good Morning America this Memorial Day, Monday, May 28 at 7:00 a.m. ET to perform “She Won’t Let Go,” an original song written for the Vanilla Fire production Until They Are Home. Directed by filmmaker Steven C. Barber and narrated by Kelsey Grammer, Until They Are Home is a documentary chronicling the efforts of Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command (JPAC) in searching for remains of missing Marines.
Clint Black has long been a fixture in the country music community with international and cross-genre notoriety as a songwriter, record producer, and instrumentalist. Black has written, recorded, and released more than 100 songs, an impressive feat for any artist’s career, while an astounding one-third of these songs achieved hit status on country radio. Black is an accomplished singer and guitarist with a proficiency on the drums and harmonica; all which lends itself to why he has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide.
Black’s 1989 RIAA-certified triple platinum debut Killin’ Time catapulted this then unknown Texas singer/songwriter into the limelight, but for Black, that was only the beginning. Several platinum-selling albums followed including Put Yourself In My Shoes, The Hard Way, and No Time To Kill, along with film and television roles. Black also chairs philanthropic efforts in support of the International Rett Syndrome Foundation. Black is currently in the studio working his upcoming album due out later this year.
I’ve never seen Clint live – he’s one of the few country artists I can say that about. But he’s on my list, and I will definitely see him if he ever gets back to my part of the world. Clint has a few shows up on his web site, anyone in Oklahoma, Texas or Michigan might want to check out that list. Remember to check out his facebook page, and follow him on Twitter @Clint_Black.
Hope you are all enjoying your Memorial Day weekend! More later!
