They’re over for 2012. If you’re like me, you probably watched them. If for some reason you missed it — like maybe your job got in the way, you definitely missed a great show. A lot of good performances! Here are your 2012 winners. The good thing is, it’s CMT, I’m sure you’ll get to see it again.
Collaborative Video of the Year: Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood – “Remind Me”
Breakthrough Video of the Year: Scotty McCreery – “Trouble with Girls”
Performance of the Year: Jason Aldean – Tattoos on This Town
Duo Video of the Year: Thompson Square – “I Got You”
Group Video of the Year: Lady Antebellum – “Own the Night”
Male Video of the Year: Luke Bryan – “I Don’t Want This Night to End”
Female Video of the Year: Miranda Lambert – “Over You”
Video of the Year: Carrie Underwood – “Good Girl”
Do I agree with all the winners? No, I don’t. But YOU voted. YOU, the fans. And that’s one of the things that makes this awards show so special. So it doesn’t even matter if I think the best vocalist won, or if the best song won, or the best duo won. I think what we found out tonight, is ‘who has the most loyal, dedicated fans.’ I’m really glad to see that those fans voted often enough to get their favorites the award. Let me know what you all thought of the show.
It’s been a long day, and a long night – and I will talk to you all tomorrow!
