Congratulations to Wynonna Judd and Cactus Mosert, who were married on June 10, 2012, on her farm south of Nashville. US Weekly article gives us this quote from the new bride: “I felt a joy that hasn’t been there before,” the bride told the magazine. The 48-year-old singer walked down the aisle barefoot in a Houri Barahimi gown while her children, Grace (16) and Elijah (17). The article went on to tell us that her mom, Naomi Judd, and sister/actress Ashley Judd, were not at the wedding.
I was very fortunate to have met Wynonna on two occasions, both on The Santa Train. In 2009 I rode the train with Wy, and in 2010, I had both Wy and Naomi on board as part of this charitable train-run. If you aren’t familiar with The Santa rain, you can read the previous articles about those trips here. Wynonna’s interview onboard the train can be found in this article.
Back to the wedding – There’s our bride. I don’t have a gown description, and I don’t know the designer. (Photo Credit: Anne Goetze). But I do know, looking at this picture from US Weekly, that Wh was a beautiful bride. I love the bouquet as much as I love the gown. Cactus is the drummer in Wynonna’s band, The Big Noise. He wore what US Weekly described as “cowboy chic: – a tuxedo with a vest, pocket watch and gun holster. He and Wy have been dating since 2009, and got engaged on Christmas Eve, 2011.
