Tim McGraw took some time out of his very busy schedule to stop at Outback restaurant and say ‘Thank You’ to some of our men and women in uniform. The pre-Veterans Day lunch was held on Thursday, Nov. 8, at the Outback in Brentwood, Tenn. This was part of Operation Homefront, a program that offers financial assistance to military families and wounded warriors.
An article in The Tennessean, quotes Tim as telling the group: “I want to say thank you, you guys are the best,” Tim told the crowd. "We get to do the things we do, because of y’all. We couldn’t function without y’all."
Tim has been involved with organizations that support our military, and presented 25 military families with mortgage free homes, during the Brothers of the Sun tour with Kenny Chesney. “Each family had touching stories and made an indelible mark on me," Tim said of the experience. "The need to take care of the men and women who fight and sacrifice so much for us is great, and this program is only making a dent. I definitely hope to do more down the road."
I’m happy to get this up for you today. I’ve been sick for a few days, but I’m on the mend, so I’ll get back to putting up regular posts very soon. Thanks to everyone who has written to find out where I’ve been. Hopefully, I’ll be back to normal in no time.
