Here are the remaining nominations for ACM awards this year. I have no idea how they pick the nominees for “Venue of the Year” or “ACM Radio Station of the Year,” but I sure that have their methods.
At any rate, here are the rest of this year’s nominees. I know a fiddle player or two I might have added to that list. But I didn’t get to pick. Very, very happy to see Josh Kear (pictured above, left, with Carrie Underwood and co-writer, Chris Tompkins), on the list. Josh is a local kid. His parents are very active with our Appalachian Fair in Gray, Tenn. You may not know Josh by name, but you have heard his songs…. among them are Before He Cheats, Blown Away, Two Black Cadillacs, (Kissed You) Good Night, Need You Now, Drunk on You, and Dancin Away with My Heart. Now that is one very talented song-writer.
