Nothing Craig Morgan does surprises me. The former Army Ranger, assistant Deputy Sheriff, trained EMT, singer, songwriter, entertainer, husband, father, and all-around awesome person, has done just about everything. It is no surprise that he would come to the aid of those involved in an accident on I-40 recently.
Nashville’s NewsChannel 5 tells us that Craig and two of his crew members, Jerry Hines and Joey Greer, ran to the scene of the accident to help. Craig put out a small fire, assisted the emergency responders, and helped care for the drivers.
Hmphreys County Sheriff Craig Davis said Craig responded and did exactly what he had been taught to do, and was a huge help. “This is just another example of the kind of guy he is, he loves doing things to help others,” the sheriff added.
Craig was on his way home from a show in Texas when he saw the accident, which involved three tractor trailers. (News photos by Craig’s crew member, Jerry Hines)
This is one artist I am very happy to say I not only saw in concert, but interviewed him for our local newspaper. That was a long time ago, when he was doing a show at our Appalachian Fair in Gray, Tenn. But some things, you just never forget. He is still one of my favorites.
More soon!
