It is hard to believe that more than a year has passed since I told you all about Brittany Bexton. The article, Introducing Brittany Bexton, appeared on Country’s Chatter back in September, 2012. After posting that article, which you can read by clicking here, I visited with Brittany in Nashville on two separate occasions. Now, I am happy to share Brittany’s news with all of you – she has a new single available on iTunes.
The song is titled “Free Fall,” The music is country, her vocals are blusey, the mix works. The story this song tells is not new, but at the same time – it is a story that never gets old. You’ve got two people in love ‘caught up, in a rush, heart speeds up every time we touch, so high, so alive, lost in the moment when you look in my eyes, there’s no thinking at all, in a free fall’. That’s the chorus, and now you’ve got the idea. But now, you have to listen to the song. This song is as good as anything on country radio today. It is a song every Top 40 station in the country would be playing, if it had been released by Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, or Little Big Town. So, to all of the program directors at all of the Top 40 country stations, I’d like you to give this kid a chance. Listeners will be requesting it, and everyone will be singing along.
A very talented songwriter, Brittany co-wrote this song, along with Drew Johnson and Kenneth Johnson. This is not the first song she has written, and it is not going to be the last. She’s an artist to keep an eye on. I’m looking for big things to happen for Brittany, and hopefully, “Free Fall” will be the start she’s looking for.
