Sony Nashville artist, Angie Johnson joins the Tennessee Air National Guard, marking her continued dedication to the military and our country. The soulful powerhouse, whose debut single "Swagger" was a Top 20 single, decided to voluntarily join the Tennessee Air National Guard, after her previous unit in the Missouri Air National Guard was decommissioned.
Johnson has had a busy past two years since her impromptu performance while deployed in the Middle East, of Adele’s "Rolling in the Deep," made her a YouTube sensation. Since then, she has appeared on NBC’S "The Voice," released her debut "Sing for You" EP, and performed alongside country greats such as Martina McBride at the Ohio State Fair, and teen sensation, Scotty McCreery, as the opening act for the fall dates of his "Weekend Road Trip Tour."
A superb songwriter and performer, Johnson has shown her passion and musical talent in every vocal performance, and her passion for serving her country is just as evident. Over the Christmas holidays, she was invited to be the featured vocalist of the prestigious Air Force Tops In Blue Band and toured numerous military bases in the Middle East, combining her talents and passions to bring cheer to those overseas. A true artist and strong performer, being a member of the Air Force is a big part of who Johnson is, and gives her a unique perspective on life that resonates through her music and performances, striking fascination in country music lovers across the country.
