His music is playing on country stations all across America, but when Thomas Rhett hit the stage at the Appalachian Fair in Gray, Tenn., last Tuesday night, audience members probably felt more than a little like they were at a rock concert. We have a lot of very high-energy country artists, but I think Thomas just might be number one on that list.
When you looked at the audience during our fair week, you see fans of all ages. But with the audience on Tuesday, most of them seemed to be between late teen and late 20s. And, they were definitely ready to party! This was an audience who did more screaming than applauding, but that was just their way of showing that they loved what was going on on stage. And, it was evident that the kids were having a great time.
While I was more familiar with his radio hits, “Something To Do With My Hands,” “It Goes Like This,”and “Make Me Wanna,” it seems everyone else in the crowd knew the words to every song Thomas sang. There was a lot of great music coming off the stage that night. That didn’t just come from Thomas, it came from every member of his band who was working hard for the people watching the show.
In addition to his web site, check out hisFacebook page, and remember to “Like” it while you are there. Be sure to follow Thomas on Twitter @ThomasRhett. If you aren’t already following Country’s Chatter on Twitter, we’d love to have you. You will find us @countryschatter.
Here are a few more pictures from Tuesday’s show. For any of you that like a little Rock with your country, I recommend a Thomas Rhett show.
We have a lot of press releases to get up, and we still have a lot of opening acts to tell you about from last weeks fair. We’ve got more area fairs coming up, too. Lots to do during the late summer and early fall in this area. I know I have some e-mail to catch up on, too. But we will get those answered just as soon as we can. Really appreciate you all taking the time to write!
