Tonight we all got to see the first-ever American Country Countdown Awards show. Fox aired it live from Nashville. Florida Georgia Line hosted, and there was a lot of entertainment, and a lot of awards.
Carrie Underwood opened the show with a medley of her hits, during which the cameras gave us a glimpse of a lot of our favorites in the audience; and some of the fans out there as well. Very nice way to get the show started.
If you missed any of the broadcast, we’ve got your winners for you.

BREAKTHROUGH ARTIST OF THE YEAR PRESENTED BY SAMSUNG GALAXY
The first Nash Icon Award was presented to Reba McEntire. Kix Brooks presented the award, and Miranda Lambert and Kelly Clarkson sang a few of Reba’s songs. Reba joined the two for the song “Fancy”.
Kenny Chesney performed, after being presented the first-ever Groundbreaker Award, for his touring. The statistics that were flashed across the screen were really impressive – Kenny has performed for so many fans! And, I am sure he has a lot of touring left to do.
I enjoyed the show. For a ‘first-ever’ award show, everyone did a great job. And, they proved that you don’t need three hours to hand out a few awards and give your audience a lot of great entertainment! They did it in two!
That’s it for this awards show. But the way things happen, I know we won’t have to wait too long to see the next one. I need to go get caught up on some e-mail answering, but we’ll be back with more news soon!
