Shania Twain was on Good Morning America today, and announced a 48-city Rock This Country Tour, which will start on June 5 in Seattle, Wash. The tour will take her across Canada, drop down into New York, cover several cities in the eastern part of the country, including Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia, Pa.; Charlotte, N.C.; and Miami, Fla. Tennessee fans will find her at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on July 31. You can get the complete schedule on her web site.
It’s been 11 years since Shania was out on tour, and I know her fans are ready for this one! I know as excited as her fans must be about this upcoming tour, they probably aren’t very happy to learn it will be her last. “This is going to be a big tour for me because it’s going to be my last. This is my last tour. I’m going to make the most of it. Let’s put it that way,” the singer-songwriter told Good Morning America‘s Robin Roberts. “I feel like I’m ready to hang my hat up in that regard. I just really want to go out with a bang.”
In addition to her web site you can also keep up with the latest Shania news by visiting her Facebook page. She has a Twitter too, and you can follow her @ShaniaTwain. If you aren’t already following Country’s Chatter on Twitter, we’d love to have you. You will find us @countryschatter.
