How would you like to see Tim McGraw on television? You’re going to get your chance. Tim has signed on to star in a new drama series for TNT. The show is called “Robbers”. And, Tim will also be the executive producer on this project.
The show is based on Christopher Cook’s 2009 novel, and the plot will focus on a violent trip across Texas, featuring a couple of drifters, Eddie and Ray Bob. Tim is going to play the latter, who is described as a ‘cold-hearted villain’. Not sure how I’m going to like Tim in that role, but I plan on finding out!
We are also going to get to see Tim in George Clooney’s movie this summer. “Tomorrowland” is about an inventor a teenager who loves science. They go on a mythical adventure to an other worldly place, that seems to exist in their collective memory. “I play a father who’s also a rocket scientist, who’s been laid off by NASA and trying to figure out what to do with his life and his daughter is a very curious girl who got caught up in some pretty crazy things and gets propelled into the future and back into the present again and into the past again. It’s a really interesting film. I read the script and I’ve seen the trailer and I still think it’s crazy and wonderful. And I can’t wait to see the film,” said McGraw. Tomorrowland is scheduled to release on May 22, 2015.
Is that enough to keep this guy busy? Apparently not. In addition to his tour, he tells CBS News that he is planning to have a new album out by the end of 2015. [Source] Time told CBS New that they started working on the new album a couple of weeks ago, so “we’re right in the thick of it now”.
