I would imagine all of Joey & Rory’s fans know by now that Joey is at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion, Ill., where she recently underwent surgery for stave IV cancer. We know that, because Rory has been awesome about keeping all of us up-to-date about Joey’s diagnosis and treatment. If you aren’t following these two on Facebook, I hope you will.
From the diagnosis, through the surgery, Rory has been great about posting on Facebook and sharing news with their fans. These two make us feel like we are part of the family. And the overwhelming support and love the fans are pouring out for Joey is proof of that. Above is one mail delivery to Joey at the hospital.
When Rory posted this photo from the waiting room, he didn’t need to say anything. We all felt like we were there with him. Waiting for some kind of news from the surgeon. The prayers continued while we all waited. In Rory’s blog, he told us that the surgery took almost 10 hours. After the surgery, the doctor said that everything went well, and he told the family that he believes that they were able to get all of the main tumor removed. Treatments will continue, and so will the prayers of so many of us.
“Joey is feeling so much better today…I’ve been missing her beautiful smile!” This was Rory’s post two hours ago (July 13) on Facebook. We just can’t thank them enough for sharing their story with all of us. This is a wonderful family. They have so much faith, and so many friends – I could each of us (the fans) as their friends. And, I’m sure they do, too.
You know about their web site, and their Facebook page. I hope you will also take a minute to check out their YouTube channel, where you can see clips from their show. If you have a Twitter account, you will want to keep up with them there, too. Follow them @joeyandrory. If you aren’t already following Country’s Chatter on Twitter, we’d love to have you. You will find us @countryschatter.
