Matt GaryWe loved the e-mail we received earlier today.  It was to tell us that Matt Gary has a new single. The single premiered on The Boot yesterday, and you will get to hear it here today.  There’s a reason we loved hearing about Matt. Some of our long-time readers may remember that we first became familiar with this artist more than five years ago! We had several articles posted about him. One of those articles included the video for his single “The Days You Live For”. (If you missed that article, and would like to have a look at it (and the video), just click here.}

The e-mail we received today was to tell us about Matt’s new single, “It’s On You”. And, we are very happy to tell you that while Matt may have changed his look a little over the years, he has not changed his sound. He is still putting out great music, and it’s time we hear this kid on the radio. The new single is being promoted to radio now, with an official release date of Sept. 21, 2015.

Matt Gary 2The Boot described this song as “a full-fledged country-pop song, complete with an electric guitar solo.” They had more than that to say about the song, and we agree with everything they said. The song is definitely catchy, and without a doubt ‘toe-tapping’.  But, it has a lot more going for it than that. It sounds a lot like what you are hearing on country radio today, but still manages to be different enough that it is giving Matt an opportunity to make his own mark, create his own sound, and become a recognizable voice among our very crowded field of top country male entertainers.

The song itself is definitely a ‘guy meets girl’ story. And, maybe even a ‘guy meets very flirty girl, and gets pulled in by her attitude and charm’ story.  Well, something like that.  Give it a listen and you decide just what it is he’s trying to tell us here. Whatever it is  — we like it.  I really like when it says, “I know that we just met, but you can’t be tuggin’ on my shirt like that”.  It’s a good song, it’s a fun song, and, I hope radio agrees that this is one that needs to be aired.

Matt told The Boot,  “I’m pumped to have “It’s on You” be the lead-off single for my new music. “I’ve been in Nashville awhile, really working to develop my sound. My producer, Ilya Toshinskiy, and I feel we have created something that’s unique. Its a song that you just want to turn up loud from the first beat. I dig the way the storyline puts the girl in charge, makes her sound confident … I like that!”

Matt gary 4Matt Gary grew up in Kansas City, KS, and his love for country music (including Tim McGraw and Keith Urban), as well as pop influences like Maroon 5, Jack Johnson and John Mayer, led him to Nashville after graduating from the University of Tampa. Matt was recently  named one of CMA’s “Who to Watch” and is currently in the studio recording new music.

Keep your eye on this one. We have been watching for a long time, and hope “It’s On You” will be the one that not only catches your attention, but the attention of radio program directors everywhere.

It premiered on The Boot yesterday, and we are putting it up for all of you today.  The staff at Country’s Chatter is really excited about this new single for Matt. We hope all of you will like it, too.  If you do, you know how to reach your favorite country radio station and request it. Here is the new music.
