There they are. As always, a few of our favorites are not among the list of nominees. And, there are some there that we aren’t quite sure why they are there. We love Chris Stapleton and are very happy to see his nomination for Album of the year, not sure why he is also nominated for ‘new’ artist of the year – he’s been around a while. As for Kelsea Ballerini – I believe she should be in the new artist nominations, but I don’t think her very limited time in the spotlight warrants a female vocalist of the year nod. Good to see Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks in that Entertainer of the Year category – both have had great years, with Garth selling out four shows in Knoxville, Tenn., at Thompson-Bolling Arena during his recent tour. From here, we can all speculate, and make our good guesses as to who will win, and who we thing should win. I know we will all be anxiously awaiting the Nov. 4 show, when we will find out for sure.
