About a month ago, we saw the Brothers Osborne at the Washington County Fair in Gray, Tenn. I hope you all saw the article about that night. Because we just could not find enough great things to say about this awesome duo and their band. If you missed that article, or would like to read it again (it’s loaded with photos), you can do that by clicking here.
But, today, we want to tell you about their new music video for their hit song, “Stay a Little Longer”. That is a wonderful song. I think most of us remember the first time we heard it – it just kind of grabbed a hold of you. You almost had to like it. I hope you are all open-minded enough to feel the same way about the video. John and TJ used a lot of couples in the making of this video. They have older couples, younger couples, interracial couple, and even a same-sex couple. In addition to the ‘story-telling’ scenes that are so important in a music video, you get to see TJ and John working together – something they do really well. I loved watching these two on stage. John is awesome on that guitar. It’s a good video.
“We didn’t want it to be about one person or one couple,” TJ Osborne tells Billboard. “We wanted to nail down the narrative that it’s really about something that we’ve all felt and been through.”
“There are a lot of songs that are about being in love and a lot of songs about heartbreak, and this song is about that in-between stage,” John Osborne says. “And that’s actually the hardest part of a relationship — when you don’t know.”
I think I’ve said quite enough about the video, so we’re just going to show it to you now. It was shot in an abandoned warehouse in Murfreesboro, Tenn., not far from Nashville, and was directed by Peter Zavadil.
In addition to their web site, take a minute and check out their Facebook page, and please remember to “Like” it while you are there. They have a lot of great pictures on Instagram, and videos you can sit back and enjoy on YouTube. You can also follow them on Twitter @brothersosborne.
