Many people who watched American Idol probably remembers that Bucky Covington is from North Carolina. Bucky will serve as the host of this year’s Artists Music Guild Heritage Awards, to be held on Nov. 14, at the AG Convention Center in Monroe. In addition to hosting this year’s event, Bucky will perform at the kick-off concert.
The event will begin on Nov. 9, and organizers are saying they have “five days of fun-filled events” planned leading up to the Heritage Awards program. Activities at the Monroe Crossing Mall are planned for Nov. 9, followed by an all-day concert on Nov. 11, featuring Bucky and other artists of all genres. There is also a fundraising concert involving a special appearance form a pupped named Lamb Chop, and that is set for Nov. 12. The Awards ceremony, on Nov. 14, can be viewed in 17 million homes across the country. [Source]
At the Nov. 11 concert, Bucky will perform with many students from all over the Richmond County Public School System. That concert will begin at 6 p.m. in the Carolina Equine Rescue Association Ranch. All donations form the event will benefit the rescue.
This is going to be a great show, with entertainers from the Union County Youth Ballet and Encore Dance Studio being among the many performers. Children form Rockingham area schools have the opportunity to be on stage with other performers to promote arts education.
