Rainey Qualley

She is one of our Favorites!  Rainey Qualley first came to our attention back in May, 2015. Her song “Turn Me On Like the Radio” is great. I have no idea why we aren’t hearing it on country radio, but I hear it a lot, because I have one of her EP’s.  If you don’t know Rainey, read the article we posted back in May. {article here] The article has a short clip from YouTube, called ”Meet Rainey Qualley”. The song we were talking about, “Turn Me On Like the Radio” is playing in the background of that video – and I think you’re going to love it. It’s infectious!  You want to sing along, and until you learn the lyrics, I bet you will be humming along!

Now that we’ve reminded you all how much we like Rainey, let me pass this press release on to you. Rainey recently made her second trip to the Grand Ole Opry Stage. The press release below will tell you all about that.

[Press Release]  Cingle Records flagship artist Rainey Qualley made her Grand Ole Opry® debut August 28 and was immediately invited back for her second appearance last Tuesday, September 29.

Rainey’s debut single, “Me And Johnny Cash,” was met with a rousing response, and she performed two other songs from her Turn Down The Lights EP.

Prior to the show, Grand Ole Opry® member Larry Gatlin interviewed Rainey on his live 650AM WSM radio program “The Gospel According To Gatlin.” She and her guitarist and co-producer John Ramey performed her single, and she and Gatlin chatted about Rainey’s background, music and their mutual admiration for Johnny Cash.

Saturday night, Rainey and her band performed two full sets on the plaza of the Grand Ole Opry® House to help kick off the celebration of the Opry’s 90th anniversary.
