I want to tell you all about an up-and-coming country artist named Jordan Foster. But, I think you and I are actually going to end up learning about Jordan together. I was first introduced to Jordan when I saw him on a Periscope broadcast from radio station WYLE (Willie 94.1, Glasgow, Kentucky). Jordan was a guest on the morning show of deejay Kelly Embry. Kelly puts his radio program out on Periscope every morning. So, we don’t only get to listen, we get to watch, and we get to interact, and it’s fun.
When Kelly gets a guest like Jordan Foster in the studio with him, the event [Periscope] becomes even more enjoyable. We got to watch Jordan perform a few acoustic songs, including an original, and we were there to see Kelly interview him. I liked what I was seeing in this young artist. I’m not the only one. Once Jordan made his appearance on that morning show, and Kelly played his new single, ‘Love in Kentucky,” requests started coming in for the tune during the All-Request Show on WILLLIE. And, I would like all of you to see (and hear) him, too.
Jordan hails from Somerset, Ky. His bio tells us he “embraces a unique, but true sound of country music holding tight to his southern roots’’ All you have to do is listen to Jordan’s single, ‘Love in Kentucky,” and you know that statement is true. He grew up with a true passion for music, and has been performing since an early age. There is a line in his bio that pretty much sums all this up: “He is no stranger to the music scene”. He has performed at local venues including marina’s on Lake Cumberland, local restaurants, festivals and fairs – and has even opened for Lonestar and Daryle Singletary when they did shows in his hometown.
A few of his original songs include “Dancin’ in the Headlights” and Worn Down Barn.” His music has been played on Z93 Country, 93.1 FM, and on WILLIE 94.1 – and we are sure it will be played in a lot more country stations in the near future. Jordan is working on an album at Red Brick Recording Studio in Columbia, Ky. “This is an exciting project and promises to be a dynamic album featuring some of the top musicians from Nashville!”, the “About” section on his Facebook page tells us.
To our friends in the media and event planners out there, remember, Jordan is available for interviews and appearances for select dates he still has open and if you would be interested in booking him please contact Barry W. Troxtell @ 606-305-9898 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
