KU 2Keith Urban has a new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame. The exhibit is open to the public now, and will remain at the museum until May 2016.  This is the perfect time for fans to visit the Nashville, tour the museum, and have a look at some of the objects that went into making Keith Urban the artist he is today. Guitars and GRAMMY and CMA awards are on display, along with some wardrobe items, and original  handwritten songs.

KKU 74The opening of Keith’s exhibit is exciting for fans, and for the artist as well.  He didn’t turn into the superstar he is over night.  This has been a long journey for Keith, and we’re sure most of it has been an adventurous one.  But now, Keith tells us that his father, Robert Urban, has been placed in Hospice care.  Robert was instrumental in his son’s career.  He taught Keith to love country music, he sewed stage outfits for his son, and has always supported Keith’s career.  Keith told the news media that his Dad  probably only has a few weeks left. The 48-year-old Australia native revealed the sad news to The Tennessean, and called his new exhibit at Country Music Hall of Fame titled “Keith Urban So Far …,” “bittersweet,” given his father’s ailing health.

“He’s probably only got a few weeks, if that,” Urban said. “I’ve just been dealing with that the last couple of days. This has all come at a very strange time where it’s typical of a career that has extreme highs and extreme lows all often at the exact same time. So [the exhibit] is bittersweet a little bit because [my dad] is the catalyst for all of this. My dad is the catalyst for me living in America.”

Below are a few of the items visitors will see at the Keith Urban exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum in Nashville.
