CMA Award-winning duo Maddie & Tae today released an exclusive and inspiring video with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in support of the “Shine Bright” campaign. This letter writing effort within Middle Tennessee provides encouragement for the hospital’s patients, their families and caregivers.

The deeply personal video – which premieres exclusively with CMT.com — features Maddie & Tae performing their recent single, “Fly” during a day the songwriters spent with patients at Children’s Hospital. As artist ambassadors for the Children’s Hospital and Nashville Predators “Shine Bright” campaign, the duo loves to offer encouragement to caregivers, patients and their families, as well as brightening the day for the children. “Seeing the light and joy in the eyes of the patients we were able to sing and play with would brighten anyone’s day,” says Tae Dye. “Knowing people find something encouraging in this music is the greatest gift we can be given.”

“And supporting the ‘Shine Bright’ campaign, especially interacting with the patients and caregivers at Children’s Hospital has been one of the most rewarding things we’ve done,” adds Maddie Marlow. “Knowing this special version of ‘Fly’ will also encourage people to write letters of support is the icing on the cake.”
