2016-ACM-AwardsAre you ready for another awards show?  Of course you are – this one is the Academy of Country Music Awards, which will be televised on Sunday, April 3, 2016, at 8 p.m. (ET).  Dierks Bentley and Nancy O’Dell (from Entertainment tonight) announced the nominees earlier today on CBS This Morning.

dbAs always there were a few surprises in the list of nominees.  Blake Shelton seems to be totally ignored, Not even a Single , Album or Video nomination.  And, I’m not sure why Rascal Flatts is in the Vocal Group of the Year nomination list. I just don’t think they’ve done much lately.  No surprises really in the Entertainer of the Year list.  I am glad to see Chris Stapleton back in the nomination list – again for New Male Vocalist and Male vocalist of the year.  My guess, Miranda is pretty much the queen right now, and will probably walk away with the Female Vocalist of the Year award. But, like everyone else – I’ll just have to wait until April 3 to find out for sure.

In the meantime, here are you nominees for the 51st ACM Awards.
