MERLE HAGGARD
APRIL 6, 1937 – APRIL 6, 2016
It is never easy to say good-bye a legend, and that’s what Merle Haggard is, to every country music fan. From his first single, “Sing a Sad Song”, back in 1963, and his first number one hit, “The Fugitive,” in 1967, all the way through to his recent tour with Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard has had an unforgettable career. He has left us music that will be played for generations to come. And, we will all miss him.
Here at Country’s Chatter, we would like to offer our thoughts, prayers, and sincere sympathy to Merle’s family.
