Bucky at Capones 006

Bucky Covington wants to make sure that everyone who has a Facebook page knows about imposters.  They are out there.  They impersonate celebrities, and often send out ‘Friend Requests’.  Shortly after accepting the request from one of these imposters, the fan will receive a private message asking for money. They usually say the money is to help with a project (that the artist doesn’t want his management team to know about).

The scammers are now impersonating Bucky Covington, and he has opened up to WZTV FOX 17 to make sure his fans don’t fall for this scam.  Bucky posted a warning on his Facebook page, telling all of his fans that they should never provide any personal information to anyone claiming to be him.  His Facebook post read:  “Hey guys- please do not provide ANY Personal information to any pages claiming to be Bucky Covington. There is another person trying to scam my friends and fans claiming to be me. Please report them to facebook for “impersonating a celebrity” and facebook should handle the rest. Apologies for any inconvenience this person might have caused.”

Bucky“If you get a request from me asking for money, if it says anything about a private jet, it’s not me,” Covington said. “If it says anything about money, it’s not me,” Bucky told FOX news. See the full interview here — Source]

Bucky Russell County 107If you want to find out where you can see Bucky on stage, head over to his website, where you’ll se his schedule.  We will be seeing him on Sept. 6 at the Russell County Fair in Castlewood, Va.  He has other social media links on his website as well. You will want to head over to Spotity and give a listen to his latest EP, “Happy Man”. He has got some of my favorite Bucky songs on that EP, which is available at itunes, too.
